Matej

Matej Gaštarov was born on November 15, 2006 in Skopje. He began his football career in the youth categories of Vardar, and in August 2024 he arrived at the Marakana. During the 2024/25 season, he was one of the most standard players of the Red Star youth team, which he crowned by winning the title. After notable games in the youth team and gaining senior experience on loan at Borac Čačak, the young midfielder underwent complete preparations with the first team of the red and whites, during which he managed to impose himself on the coaching staff. Gaštarov plays in the position of defensive midfielder, and is distinguished by a quality shot from distance, a large radius of movement, precise passing, excellent overview of the game and a pronounced fighting spirit on the field.
