Kristian Balov was born on July 26, 2006 in Sofia. He came up through the youth ranks of Slavia Sofia, where he completed his entire schooling and then successfully stepped into senior football. He played 56 competitive matches for the Bulgarian club, scoring six goals and providing seven assists. He has played for all of Bulgaria's junior national teams, and in March 2026 he successfully debuted for the senior national team, scoring a goal.
