Albert

Albert Riera was born on April 15, 1982 in Manacor, on the island of Mallorca. The Spanish strategist began his independent coaching career at Olimpia Ljubljana, with whom he won the championship and the cup in the 2022/23 season. He soon took over Celje, but after just a few months he received an offer from Bordeaux. As head coach of the French team, he led the team from October 2023 to July 2024, when he decided to return to Celje. With the Slovenian team, Albert Riera achieved significant successes, won the national cup and recorded notable results on the European stage. In the 2024/25 season, he led Celje to the quarterfinals of the Conference League, while the following season he qualified for the knockout stage of the aforementioned competition. Then, in February 2026, the Spanish expert took over Eintracht, and remained on the bench of the German team until May of the same year.

During his rich playing career, Albert Riera played for the Spanish national team, but also for some of the best European clubs such as Mallorca, Bordeaux, Manchester City, Espanyol, Liverpool, Olympiacos, Watford, Galatasaray and Udinese.
