By defeating Vojvodina in the final, Red Star Belgrade won the 30th anniversary national cup, as well as their sixth double crown in a row.

Red Star's path to the trophy began with a match against Slavon from Ruma. Our team recorded a victory as a guest (0:2) with goals from Radonjić and Ivanić in the round of 32. Red Star's first team players continued the competition with an away match in Dobanovci. In the round of 16 match, the red and whites were better than Buducnost with a score of 1:4. The red and whites opened the match spectacularly, and after only nine minutes of play the score was 0:2. The scorers were Enem and Duarte, who was also accurate in the 54th minute. The Buducnost players managed to reduce the lead in the 81st minute, and the final result was set by Thomas Handel with a phenomenal goal from a free kick.

In the quarterfinals, our team defeated Novi Pazar on the road with a score of 0:2. Red Star took the lead in the 38th minute with a goal by Tiknizjan, while the second goal of the match was scored by Timi Max Elšnik, thus taking Red Star to the semifinals of the Serbian Cup.

After the draw for the semi-finals, the red and whites met with Jedinstvo on the away field. Dejan Stanković's team confirmed that they have the quality and won 1:2. Although the home team put up a strong resistance, the Red Star players controlled the match and secured a place in the final of the competition with goals from Učena and Duarte. In the final, the red and whites were better than the Vojvodina team after a better penalty shootout. The result after regular 90 minutes was 2:2, and Marko Arnautović and Rodrigao were on the scoresheet. The Belgrade red and whites were more successful in the penalty shootout with 5:4 and deservedly won the 30th national cup trophy.
