In the 2022/23 season, Crvena zvezda Belgrade's players achieved something that no one in history in this region has ever achieved, winning the Serbian Cup for the third year in a row, and thus the historic third double crown in a row, which once again confirmed the golden age of our club.
After we managed to defeat our eternal rival in the cup finals in the previous two years, first after a better penalty shootout (0:0, 4:3p), and then with a score of 2:1, when double scorer Aleksandar Katai dominated, Čukarički was outplayed in the 2022/23 season. The score in the match was 2:1, and the double scorer and player of the match was Aleksandar Pešić.

Interestingly, the final match was Crvena zvezda Belgrade's first on home soil in the most massive competition of the 2022/23 season, but also the 15th match in a row that we have not been defeated. It all started in Šabac when we defeated the local Mačva with a score of 0:2 thanks to goals from Nemanja Milunović and Kings Kangwa, and then continued the competition in the calendar year 2023 and triumphed in turn - in Sremska Mitrovica against Radnički (1:3, Mirko Ivanić, Marko Rakonjac and Kings Kangwa), in Kruševac against Napredak (0:0, 2:4p) and then in the semi-final against TSC in Bačka Topola (0:3, Guelor Kanga, Ivanić and Kangwa). All this led to the final match against Čukarički, which was played at Marakana, and Crvena zvezda once again confirmed that they are the best team in Serbia. Interestingly, the top scorer in the 2022/23 season when it comes to the Serbian Cup was Kings Kangwa with three goals scored.
