Na današnji dan pre 34 godine Crvena zvezda je podigla pehar namenjen osvajaču Interkontinentalnog kupa i popela se na krov sveta. U finalu smo savladali čileanski Kolo Kolo pred 60 hiljada gledalaca u Tokiju sa 3:0. Crvena zvezda je tada 8. decembra 1991. godine peharu Kupa evropskih šampiona dodala i trofej Interkontinentalnog kupa i zvanično postala najbolji tim na planeti.
