Our latest signing Rajiv van La Parra arrived to Belgrade on Tuesday and was officially unveiled a Crvena zvezda player at Rajko Mitić Stadium's Media Centre. The Dutch winger spoke of his delight after joining the Serbian champions.
Left winger arrived from Huddersfield Town having spent last season on loan at fellow Championship side Middlesbrough. He has now commited himself to Crvena zvezda until the summer of 2022.
"I’m happy to be at Zvezda. I know this is a big club with a glorious history and passionate fans. I’m hoping to help the team achieve good results in Champions League and domestic competition. It’s a new challenge for me. I’ve played in some quality leagues and I believe I can use my experience to help my new team. I can’t wait to make my debut!"
The 28-year-old product of Feyenoord’s Academy has played for Caen in France before joining Heerenveen in his native Holland. He then set off to England where he played for Wolwerhampton Wanderers and Huddersfield. He has also had loan spells with Brighton and Hove Albion and Middlesbrough.
He was capped by Netherlands at all youth levels.
