First half left a lot to be desired, as teams cancelled each other. Vladan Milojević expected a difficult match and it proved so, with the team from Lučani looking very disciplined and hard to break down.
Veljko Simić had the ball in Rosić's net only for the goal to be chalked off for offside. Lorenzo Ebecilio fired over the bar and Stehan Hajdin had a header well saved on 30 minutes.
Zvezda were in front six minutes into second half as Cafu scored from the spot after Hajdin had been fouled in the area. Rosić's got a touch, but Brazilian's penalty had enough pace on it.
Marko Jevremović scored a fine goal to pull the visitors level on 65 minutes. It looked like it going to take something special to overcome Mladost.
And it was Branko Jovičić who took care of the special. Just three minutes after the leveller, the hard-working midfielder hit a magnificent half-volley and hammered it beyond Rosić from around 20 meters out. It was special indeed!
Cafu and Simić came close to increasing Zvezda's lead, but it remained 2-1 as Zvezda made it 34 games unbeaten in all competitions.
Our next fixture is on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League, when we travel to France to face Paris Saint-Germain at Parc des Princes.
