Crvena zvezda controlled possession throughout, but were again without that edge upfront as the side from Kruševac did well to contain the home team. It didn’t seem like it was going to be a frustrating match early on as Vladan Milojević’s men started brightly.
The home fans were relieved when Nenad Krstičić opened the scoring shortly after the restart with a fine low shot, but once again insecurity crept in late on and broke Zvezda’s hearts when Eskić finished from close range in injury time.
Unlike the games against Voždovac and Vojvodina, our team couldn’t find a late winner and it ended with the teams sharing the spoils.
There was more bad news as Vujadin Savić, who was recently called up by Serbia, had to go off through injury.
An evident dip in form is something Head Coach Vladan Milojević has spoken about and he vowed to work even harder as the season approaches crucial stage.
We now face two trips to FK Mačva in matter of days, as we face the Šabac club in the Serbian Cup and also in Superliga.
