Goalscorers: Zorić 76' for Borac, Maslać (og) 10', Katai 36' 45' 77' and Orlandić 90' for Crvena zvezda.
Borac: Bajić, Tanasin, Krstić, Maslać, Kostić, Balabanović, Petrazzi, Jovanović, Zec, Zorić, Vujaklija.
Crvena zvezda: Kahriman, Petković, Rendulić, Luković, Ibanez, Donald, Le Tallec, Grujić, Srnić, Katai, Vieira.
Borac started the match well, but Damir Kahriman, named Best Goalkeeper in Serbian Superliga, made an early stop to inspire his teammates. They responded by scoring three times in the first half. Zvezda players, clad in their gray away kit, took the lead on 10 minutes when Maslać diverted a Luis Ibanez cross in his own net after an areal duel with Damien Le Tallec.
Even though neither team really required the points here, Borac players were often too strong in the tackle. After a rough challenge on Grujić, Mitchell Donald protested strongly and earned himself a booking on 28 minutes.
Aleksanad Katai doubled the lead on the half-hour mark when he exchanged a few neat passes with Petković and finished easily past Bajić. That man Katai scored yet again just before the break when he expertly volleyed home after a pinpoint right-wing cross from Slavoljub Srnić.
Borac pulled one back through Zorić who rifled into the roof of Kahriman’s net on 76 minutes. But Miodrag Božović’s men responded instantly. Plavšić played Katai in and the attacking midfielder found the far corner to restore the three-goal cushion and complete a hat-trick.
There was still time for the substitute Petar Orlandić to complete the scoring late in the game when he headed the ball beyond Bajić and into the net after a perfect Luis Ibanez cross.
Zvezda now prepare for the final match of the season. Radnički Niš will arrive and try to spoil the champions party at Marakana on Saturday.
