The game at Voždovac's rooftop ground didn't start the way Dejan Stanković and the coaching staff wanted. Young Stoisavljević headed the hosts in front with a nice header. I looked like it was going to be one of those days as the rain lashed down and the blue-clad red and whites chasing Voždovac's lead.
But Crvena zvezda is in such a fine form that any nerves were settled soon. We attacked and created chances as Voždovad pulled further back. It was only a matter of time and Ben leveled on the half hour mark with a close-range header after Aleksandar Katai's done great to win the ball out on the left fland and deliver a fine cross for the Comorian star.
Mirko Ivanić gave us the lead just seven minutes later with yet another headed goal. Željko Gavrić was back to his energetic best as he surged down the right and whipped a ball in for the in-form Ivanić to nod beyond Krunić.
Second half was a somewhat more subdued period but Zvezda never looked like letting their lead slip. High press was applied throughout to the delight od boss Stanković. Željko Gavrić got on the scoresheet himself on 67 minutes with a classy finish from inside the area, making the most out of a Milan Gajić pass.
Substitute Aleksa Vukanović hasn't featured much of late but he popped up with a goal today to give the gaffer a bit more to think about as the goals continute to flow for the red and whites.
The three points made it 15 league wins on the bounce.
