Zvezdan Terzić was born on 21 May 1966 in Vrbas. He was associated with success wherever he worked - starting from OFK Beograd, the Football Association of Serbia, all the way to his today's role with FK Crvena zvezda.
He graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade in 1995. He speaks four foreign languages - English, Russian, Greek and Hungarian. After his master's degree, he obtained the title of Doctor of Science on the topic "The influence of leaders on transformational changes in sports".
He played for OFK Beograd for nine years as a stopper. He was the leader and captain of Belgrade's Romantics for six years. He was responsible on the pitch, and he translated that virtue to the office. Communicative and straightforward, fast and efficient. He also played for one year in the Greek top-tier club Kastoria FC in the 1996/1997 season when he ended his playing career. He returned to the Omladinski stadion and became the general manager. During the embargo from 1992 to 1995, he appeared four times for the Yugoslav national team in unofficial matches.
In January 2005, he was unanimously elected president of the Football Association of Serbia. After parting with Montenegro, the Football Association of Serbia became the legal successor of all previous state associations. Then Terzić, as president, replaced the blue jerseys with red ones, and replaced the old emblem of the Association with a new one, which was later accepted by national teams in all sports. It made the Football Association of Serbia the "locomotive" of the awakening of new sports patriotism.
In the last nine years, during which Zvezdan Terzić has held responsible positions, the Crvene zvezda football club has won seven national championship titles, three Serbian Cups, including three Doubles. The red and whites appeared in the group stage of the Europa League four times and played in the competition's knockout stage three times. Zvezda appeared three times in the group stages of the Champions League. In the 2018/19 season, Zvezda defeated the famous Liverpool in Belgrade, who went on to win the competition that season.
Today, Zvezdan Terzić enjoys an excellent reputation in the UEFA and FIFA. He is currently the general director of our football club and is one of the most essential links in the organisational structure at Marakana.
